Organized women in Santa Marta and La Maraña are participating in a training series on gender put together by ADES. The educational process seeks to empower female leaders so that they themselves are the protagonists of their own transformation.

Santa Marta, in Victoria, Cabañas presented its organizing history in the book “Where the Torogoz Nests.” The material systematizes the organizing experience and consciousness raising in the community from the period of 1975-1992.

Communities and the municipality of Mataquescuintla in the Jalapa department of Guatemala, presented an award to Vidalina Morales for ADES’s struggle against metallic mining exploration in Cabañas.

ADES shared the annual report on Human Rights with community leaders and governmental institutions in Cabañas.
