Using a watershed management and planning approach, ADES’ Water Resources Management Program accompanies communities in the following processes:
- Identifying possible sources of drinking water
- Checking the quantity and quality of accessible water
- Feasibility studies and detecting water-recharge zones
- Technical support in developing potable water systems
- Training in the administration of communal water systems
- Support in the management of public and private institutions
- Constructing potable water systems
Access to quality, sufficient drinking water remains limited in Salvadoran communities, and is the key challenge confronting organizations like ADES that accompany communities in developing water management processes.
