ADES Santa Marta and the Fondo de Iniciativa para las Américas (FIAES) signed a contract to execute the Reducing socio-environmental vulnerbility through the implementation of soil and water conservation projects, reforestation, agroforestry, and governanceproject.

The beneficiaries will be campesinas and campesinos from the small community of Santa Rosa, in Sensuntepeque, Cabañas; who will be trained in soil and water conservation projects; allowing for the increase of water levels, the protection of soil, and the improvement of the landscape.

This project will reforest 40 manzanas of land with fruit and forrest trees. This is part of a government strategy to recover wooded areas on the banks of the Lempa River.
